Die Oracle Roadshow kommt nach Pforzheim
Am 5. Oktober kommt die Oracle Roadshow an die Hochschule Pforzheim. Es erwarten Euch spannende Vorträge und Diskussionen rund um agile Softwareentwicklung, agile Methoden und Blockchain-Technologie von Geertjan Wielenga (Oracle), Maximilian Liesegang (esentri AG), Patrick Speicher und Matthias Sauer (PROMATIS software GmbH). Als Einstimmung, hier schon einmal kleine Appetit-Häppchen zu den Vorträgen.

„Oracle JET: No Slides Just Code“ (Geertjan Wielenga, Oracle)
“What does agile software development mean for the tools and technologies you use when you’re doing frontend JavaScript development? Let’s say you need to quickly create Web and Mobile applications with JavaScript on the frontend, including graphs and charts and other rich UI components, as well as enterprise requirements around internationalization and accessibility. That’s a lot of complex requirements and it is difficult to work in an agile way in this scenario. Oracle has a free and open source solution to assist you and in this session you will be introduced to it: it’s name is Oracle JET. Using Apache NetBeans IDE, you’ll see how you can efficiently and productively create the JavaScript frontends of your Web and Mobile applications and how to interact with backend REST Services, too!”

„IT leaders must cut through the hype and apply blockchain for maximum benefit. – Gartner February 2018. With the incredible rise and fall of Bitcoin value at the beginning of 2018, blockchain technology has finally found its way into public consciousness. While fin techs have been hyping blockchain as the “most disruptive tech in decades” for the last two years, blockchain is not that new at all. First papers on the topic have been published since 1991. So is the hype justified? This presentation will try to do the cut. We are going to start off explaining blockchain technology based on the example of Bitcoin and discuss its
advantages and drawbacks. Based on that knowledge, we will try to identify use cases beyond crypto-currency without the rose-tinted glasses of the current hype. Our presentation is concluded by a demonstration of the Oracle Autonomous Blockchain Cloud to show how rapidly enterprises can extend their business processes using blockchain.“
